# Mitsubishi Power and CONSAG sign EPC agreement for 1.6 GW Portocem power plant in Brazil

Mitsubishi Power Americas and engineering company CONSAG have signed an EPC agreement with Portocem Geracao de Energia SA for the Portocem Thermoelectric Power Plant in Brazil. Mitsubishi Power will supply four M501JAC gas turbines for the 1.6 GW plant, located in the Pecem Industrial and Port Complex. Construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony on 5 May 2023.
