# JFE Steel and JSW Steel to form joint venture for grain-oriented electrical steel in India

JFE Steel and JSW Steel have reached a basic agreement to establish a joint venture in India to manufacture grain-oriented electrical steel sheet (GOES), the first such facility in the country with full in-house production. The upstream substrate will be produced at JSW Steel's Vijayanagar facility.
