# Mitsubishi consortium wins EPC contract for 1.6GW Portocem power plant in Brazil

A consortium of Mitsubishi Power Americas and CONSAG secured the EPC contract for the Portocem Thermoelectric Power Plant in Brazil. Mitsubishi Power will supply four M501JAC gas turbines for the 1.6GW plant at the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex. Construction has commenced.
