# Nidec to mass-produce gear-cutting machines in Pinghu, China

Nidec (NIDEC) will start mass production of gear-cutting machines (hobbing machines) at a leased factory in Pinghu, Zhejiang, China, with initial output of 15 units per month. A new factory on a 66,000 sqm site is also planned, with first phase completion by June 2024. Total investment for the first phase is JPY 5 billion.
