# Spirit AeroSystems and Skyworks Aeronautics sign MOU for VertiJet development

Spirit AeroSystems and Skyworks Aeronautics signed a Memorandum of Understanding to pursue support for Skyworks' defence and commercial platforms in the UK and European marketplace. Spirit's Northern Ireland and Scotland operations will work on detailed design activity for Skyworks' VertiJet, a vertical take-off and landing gyrodyne capable of speeds up to 400 mph.
