JSW Group, in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh government, performed Bhoomi Puja for a new green steel plant in Kadapa. The plant will be built in two phases with an outlay of Rs 8,800 crore, with first phase capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum, to be commissioned in 24-30 months, creating 25,000 direct and indirect jobs.
