# RWE selects Siemens Gamesa as preferred turbine supplier for Thor offshore wind farm

RWE has selected Siemens Gamesa as its preferred wind turbine supplier for the 1 GW Thor offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea. The contract includes 72 SG 14-236 DD turbines of nearly 15 MW each and a service agreement. The project is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2027.
