Coal India Ltd has begun operating the first of 11 EKG-20 mining shovels ordered from IZ-KARTEX under a $250 million contract signed in July 2021. The shovel is at the Dudhichua open pit, with the next delivery scheduled for September 2022 and all 11 to be delivered by 2023.
