# SCGC invests THB383M in BOPET film joint venture in Vietnam

SCG Chemicals (SCGC), a subsidiary of Siam Cement Group, has approved a THB383 million (USD10.2 million) equity investment in A.J. Plast (Vietnam) Company Limited (AJVN), a joint venture with A.J. Plast, to produce biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) film in Vietnam. Commercialization is expected in the first half of 2024.
