# Nidec expands China machine tool plant site threefold in Pinghu

Nidec has acquired a larger site in Pinghu, Zhejiang, for its machine tool subsidiary Nidec Machine Tool, expanding the planned factory area to 200,000 sq m, three times the original plan. The first factory is expected to start in March 2023 with annual production of 300 gear machines.
