Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) completed the acquisition of AUO's L3B 8-inch wafer fab in Hsinchu Science Park on January 1, 2022. The facility will become VIS's Fab 5, adding 40,000 8-inch wafers per month capacity, bringing total monthly capacity to over 280,000 wafers.
