# Bacardi partners with Danimer Scientific on biodegradable plant-based spirits bottle

Bacardi collaborated with Danimer Scientific to create a spirits bottle from Nodax PHA biopolymer made from plant seed oils, which biodegrades in 18 months. The bottle is due on shelves by 2023, starting with Bacardi rum in the US.
