# Lenzing invests EUR 200 mn in Asia fiber sites

Lenzing Group will invest over EUR 200 million in its production sites in Purwakarta, Indonesia and Nanjing, China to convert standard viscose capacity into environmentally responsible specialty fibers. The Nanjing site will become coal-independent by using natural gas cogeneration, and the Purwakarta site will achieve EU Ecolabel compliance by end of 2022.
