# GFG Alliance and IGNIS form JV for 1.2 GW renewable energy program in Spain

SIMEC Energy, a subsidiary of GFG Alliance, signed an agreement with IGNIS to create a renewable energy program in Spain, investing in wind and solar capacity of around 1.2 GW. The wind projects will be in Galicia and solar projects across Spain, with planned completion by 2023.
