# SWCC to build new wire harness plant in Jiaxing, China

Showa Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. (SWCC) has decided to invest approximately 1.6 billion yen to build a new factory for its Chinese subsidiary Jiaxing Showa Electromechanical Co., Ltd. in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China. The new plant will expand production capacity by about 2.5 times and is scheduled to start operations in December 2021.
