# CCI approves Honda Motor and Hitachi automotive components joint venture

India's Competition Commission approved a proposal for Keihin Corporation, Nissin Kogyo, Showa Corporation and Hitachi Automotive Systems to form a joint venture between Honda Motor Co Ltd and Hitachi Ltd. Honda will acquire additional shares to make Keihin, Nissin Kogyo and Showa wholly-owned subsidiaries, then amalgamate them into Hitachi Automotive Systems.
