# Sieyuan Electric starts construction of flexible transmission and smart transformer plant in Changzhou

Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new flexible transmission and smart transformer project in Changzhou's Zhonglou District. Phase 1 investment is CNY 1 billion, Phase 2 is CNY 550 million. The plant will produce neutral grounding devices, dry-type and oil-immersed transformers, reactors, and UHV switchgear. Phase 1 is expected to be completed and operational by May 2021.
