# Kemira to expand sodium chlorate and hydrogen peroxide capacity in Uruguay

Kemira signed a long-term agreement with UPM-Kymmene extending and expanding its bleaching chemicals supply contract in Uruguay, pending environmental permitting. The total Kemira investment is expected to be approximately $30 million into bleaching chemicals plants at the UPM Fray Bentos site, expanding capacity for both sodium chlorate and hydrogen peroxide production.
