# Ningbo Kingfa starts construction of 1.2M t/yr polypropylene project

Ningbo Kingfa New Materials started construction on a CNY 10.5 billion project in Ningbo, Zhejiang, to produce 1.2 million tons per year of polypropylene thermoplastic elastomer and modified new materials. Phase I (CNY 6 billion) includes 600,000 t/yr propane dehydrogenation and 800,000 t/yr polypropylene, to be completed by end of 2023. Phase II (CNY 4.5 billion) adds 600,000 t/yr propane dehydrogenation and 400,000 t/yr polypropylene, to be completed by end of 2026.
