# KION Group and Weichai Power to build €100M forklift plant in Jinan, China

KION Group announced a joint venture with Weichai Power to build a new plant in Jinan, China, with total investment of about €100 million. KION holds 95% and Weichai 5%. The plant will produce counterbalance forklifts and is expected to start construction by end of 2020 and production in 2022, creating over 800 jobs by 2025.
