# Ansaldo Energia signs MOUs with Azerbaijan for CCGT and renewable projects

Ansaldo Energia signed two memorandums of understanding with Azerbaijan on February 21, 2020. The first MOU with JSC Azerenerji allows Ansaldo to submit a proposal for a 10-year service contract for two combined cycle power plants and establishes a framework for construction of the 1,000-MW Yashma CCGT power plant. The second MOU with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy covers analysis of renewable energy potential.
