Alstom has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire Bombardier Transportation from Bombardier Inc. and CDPQ for €5.8 billion to €6.2 billion. CDPQ will reinvest proceeds and become Alstom's largest shareholder with about 18% stake.
