# Shell and CNOOC to build polycarbonate plant in Huizhou, China

Shell Nanhai and CNOOC Oil & Petrochemicals agreed to build Shell's first commercial-scale polycarbonate factory at their shared chemical base in Huizhou, Guangdong province. The plant will also produce alkyl carbonate products for lithium-ion batteries.
