# Cimenterie Industrielle de Kribi signs MoU for 0.5Mta cement plant

Cimenterie Industrielle de Kribi (Cmikri) signed a memorandum of understanding with China National Building Material Co Ltd (Sinoma/Afcham) to build a 0.5Mta cement plant in the Kribi industrial port complex, Cameroon. The investment is XAF35.5bn (US$60m). Construction is scheduled to start in August 2020 and production in February 2022.
