# MHPS to supply gas turbines and HRSGs for Suncor Oil Sands cogeneration plant

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) was selected by Suncor Energy to supply two M501JAC gas turbines and two heat recovery steam generators for a cogeneration plant at Suncor's Oil Sands Base Plant in Alberta, Canada. The units will replace three coke-fired boilers and generate up to 800 MW for the grid.
