# Clariant and Wuxi Xiyuan awarded formaldehyde technology contracts by two Chinese firms

Clariant and engineering partner Wuxi Xiyuan were awarded contracts by Shandong Yushiju Chemical and Shandong Sunny Wealth New Materials to supply their joint formaldehyde production technology. The fourth plant using this technology, with 240,000 t annual capacity, will be in Jiangsu province and start operations in 2019.
