# Ardagh to merge Food & Specialty Metal Packaging with Exal to form Trivium Packaging

Ardagh Group agreed to combine its Food & Specialty Metal Packaging business with Exal Corporation to form Trivium Packaging, a metal packaging company with 57 facilities and about 7,800 employees, headquartered in the Netherlands. Ardagh will hold 43% and receive about $2.5 billion in cash, with completion expected later in 2019.
