# BNCT expands Busan New Port container handling capacity by 700,000 TEU

BNCT ordered three quay cranes and ten yard cranes from China's HHMC, and will soon order eight straddle carriers, to expand container handling capacity at Busan New Port's Pier 5 from 2.5 million to 3.2 million TEU per year. The new equipment is expected to begin operation by mid-2020.
