# MACOM and Goertek form joint venture for 5G RF components in China

MACOM and Goertek agreed to establish a joint venture based in Hong Kong to supply GaN-on-Si RF Power components to China's 5G basestation market. Goertek will pay MACOM up to $134.6 million, with $30 million upfront, and both will contribute $25 million in working capital.
