# Aramco and NOV form JV to build rig manufacturing plant in Ras al-Khair

Saudi Aramco and National Oilwell Varco formed a joint venture, Arabian Rig Manufacturing, to build a world-class onshore rig and equipment manufacturing facility in Ras al-Khair, Saudi Arabia. The facility will span 500,000 square meters, produce 10 rigs per year, and create 1,100 jobs. Commissioning is expected by 2020, with the first rig delivered by 2021.
