# Turkish Competition Authority takes Nidec's Embraco acquisition under final examination

Turkey's Competition Board placed Nidec Corporation's acquisition of sole control of Whirlpool's compressor unit Embraco under final examination, a decision dated 20 December 2018 and announced 16 January 2019. The deal is suspended until a final decision.
