# Nippon Steel to build CGL at Kimitsu Works for ultra-high-tensile steel

Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation will install a new continuous galvanizing line (CGL) at its Kimitsu Works in Kimitsu, Chiba, Japan, to produce 1.5 GPa-grade ultra-high-tensile steel sheets. The line will have a capacity of 33,000 tonnes per month and is scheduled to start production in the second quarter of fiscal 2020.
