# Surmodics partners with Abbott to develop drug-coated balloon

Abbott and Surmodics announced an agreement for Abbott to have exclusive worldwide commercialization rights for Surmodics' SurVeil drug-coated balloon to treat the superficial femoral artery. Abbott also received options for below-the-knee and AV fistula drug-coated balloon products.
