UACJ plans to invest about 16 billion yen to expand its manufacturing site in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture, with a new automotive aluminum sheet plant. Construction starts January 2018, with production start in January 2020. Annual capacity is 100,000 tons, creating 50-60 local jobs.
