Shin-Etsu Chemical will double production capacity of rare earth magnets at its SMMV subsidiary in Hai Phong, Vietnam, from 1,100 to 2,200 tons/year, with an investment of ¥5 billion. Construction is scheduled for completion by mid-2018.
