# Kolon Plastics completes second plant in Gimcheon for engineering plastics

Kolon Plastics held a completion ceremony for its second plant in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on 2017-05-23. The plant was built on a 66,000 m² site with a total investment of KRW 43 billion, adding capacity for engineering plastic compounds and CFRP composite materials. Production capacity is expected to increase by over 40% to 50,000 tonnes per year.
