# Goldcorp and Barrick form 50/50 joint venture for Cerro Casale and Caspiche gold projects

Goldcorp and Barrick Gold agreed to consolidate the Cerro Casale and Caspiche gold projects in Chile into a 50/50 joint venture. Goldcorp will acquire Kinross's 25% interest in Cerro Casale for $260 million cash and other considerations, and acquire Exeter Resource Corporation for ~$185 million in shares.
