# Transneft and KONAR continue construction of electric motor plant in Chelyabinsk

Transneft and KONAR are building the Russkiye Elektricheskiye Dvigateli (RED) electric motor plant in Chelyabinsk Oblast. The plant will produce high-voltage electric motors up to 40 MW, with capacity of up to 300 units per year. Total investment is RUB 10 billion for 2016-2018. Construction completion is planned for end of October 2017.
