# RUSAL signs agreement with Ghana to develop bauxite mine and alumina refinery

RUSAL signed an agreement with Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation to develop the Nyinahin bauxite deposit in Ghana's Ashanti Region, with a 5 million mt/year bauxite mine and a 1.2 million mt/year alumina refinery. The deal was signed during the Russia–Africa Forum in Moscow on October 29, 2026.
