# Velan to supply nuclear valves for Darlington BWRX-300 SMR project

Canadian valve maker Velan signed a main services agreement with GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy as supplier for Ontario Power Generation's Darlington New Nuclear Project. GEH placed an initial purchase order for engineering support and critical valves for the first BWRX-300 SMR, with three more units planned by 2034.
