# Eiffage wins contract for new Merwede bridge in Netherlands

Eiffage, via its subsidiary Iemants, won a contract from consortium ALSÉÉN (Ballast Nedam and Fluor) to build a steel arch span and a movable bridge for the new West Merwede bridge on the A27 highway in the Netherlands. The main arch span is 258 meters and the movable part 53 meters, involving about 8,240 tonnes of steel. Fabrication started in June 2026, completion expected in 2030.
