# Volvo CE starts construction of new excavator factory in Eskilstuna, Sweden

Volvo Construction Equipment has begun construction of a new excavator factory in Eskilstuna, Sweden, with a SEK 700 million (A$1.1 billion) investment. The 30,000 sqm facility will produce electric and combustion engine crawler excavators (14-50 tonnes) with annual capacity of up to 3,500 machines, expected to be completed in 2028.
