# Amkor Technology proposes to double capacity of semiconductor plant in Bac Ninh, Vietnam

Amkor Technology Vietnam has proposed raising the maximum operating capacity of its semiconductor plant in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, Bac Ninh, from 675 million products per year to 1.2 billion products annually (about 420 tons). The plant was inaugurated in October 2023 with an initial investment of over $520 million.
