# Hempel applies Hempaguard NB coating on Maersk newbuilding

Hempel successfully completed the first application of its new organic silicone antifouling coating Hempaguard NB on the newbuilding 'TANGIER MÆRSK', the first of six 9000 TEU vessels ordered by Maersk. The coating was applied at Yangzijiang Shipyard in China in October 2025.
