# Osbit wins contract from NKT to build world-leading subsea cable trencher

Osbit Ltd, part of Venterra Group, has been awarded a contract by NKT to design and build the NKT T3600 subsea cable trencher. The 3,600-horsepower machine will bury high-voltage power cables up to 5.5 metres below the seabed and is expected to be commercially operational by 2027.
